1. (a) Amitabh Bachchan
Indian Megastar Amitabh Bachchan will be conferred with the 2021 Film Archive Award by the International Federation of Film Archives (FIAF) at a virtual ceremony scheduled to take place on March 19, 2021. Legendary filmmakers Christopher Nolan and Martin Scorsese will present the prestigious award to Amitabh Bachchan.

2. (a) Tirath Singh Rawat 
Tirath Singh Rawat took an oath as the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand on March 10, 2021. Tirath Singh Rawat is a Lok Sabha MP from Garhwal. He was elected as the leader of the BJP Legislature Party in the state, a day after Trivendra Singh Rawat resigned from the top post.

3. (b) Bharat Biotech's Covaxin 
The central government on March 11, 2021 granted restricted emergency use authorisation to Bharat Biotech's indigenously developed Covaxin and said that it is out of the clinical trial mode. Both Covid-19 vaccines - Covishield manufactured by Serum Institute and Bharat Biotech's Covaxin will have the same licensure status now.

The Indian Railways has merged all railway helpline numbers into a single number 139 for all queries, complaints, assistance and quick grievance redressal. All the other railway helplines will be discontinued and merged into 139 from April 1, 2021.

5. (b) Bajrang Punia
Indian wrestler Bajrang Punia has regained his world number one ranking after clinching a second successive gold medal at the Matteo Pallicone Ranking Series. Punia defeated Tulga Tumur Ochir from Mongolia 2-2 by criteria in the 65kg freestyle event final in Rome on March 7, 2021. He won after getting a two-pointer in the last 30 seconds of the bout.

6. (a) Mithali Raj
The Test and ODI Captain of the Indian women's cricket team, Mithali Raj on March 12, 2021, became the first Indian woman cricketer to complete 10,000 international runs across all cricket formats. She has also become the second woman cricketer internationally to achieve the milestone.

7. (c) Delhi
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal announced on March 9, 2021 that Delhi will bid to host the 2048 Olympics. The CM said that a vision has been provided for the same in the Delhi Budget presented in the state assembly. 

8. (a) Uttar Pradesh 
The Uttar Pradesh government on March 11, 2021 ordered the removal of all religious structures on public roads. The official press release from the Home Department stated that no structure or construction of religious nature should be allowed on public roads, streets, pavements and by the roadside.

9. (d) Uttar Pradesh
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath informed on March 10, 2021, that Arjuna Sahayak Irrigation Project worth Rs 2,600 crores will bring positive changes in the lives of the farmers of Hamirpur, Mahoba, and Banda in the Bundelkhand region which was denied to them by the previous governments.

France has launched its first military exercises in space to test its ability to defend its satellites as well as other defence equipment from attack amid the growing competition between the world powers in Earth’s orbit.

11. (c) Ageas Bowl
The World Test Championship (WTC) final between India and New Zealand will be played at the Ageas Bowl in Southampton. The WTC final will be played from June 18 to 22 and June 23 has been kept as the reserve day.

12. (d) Switzerland
Switzerland on March 7, 2021 narrowly voted in favour of a proposal banning full facial coverings including the burqa and niqab in almost all public places. In the public referendum, around 51.21 percent of voters voted in support of the controversial proposal.
