ICC World Cup 2019: May 30 – July 14, 2019

The ICC World Cup 2019 is scheduled to commence from May 30, 2019 at England and Wales. The 12th edition of the quadrennial event will see participation from teams from 10 nations across the world. The World Cup final will be held on July 14.

While, the reigning World Cup champions Australia will be looking to defend their title, having won it for a record five times, two-time champions India will also begin the tournament as one of the title favourites. India’s first World Cup match will be against South Africa at Southampton on June 5.

There would be 48 matches in total in the World Cup, of which 45 will be in the group stage. Each of the ten teams would be playing nine group stage matches, among which, the top four will progress to the semi-finals.
